Bacteria and Fungi

You can easily bring bacteria into your home on your shoes when you have grass in your yard. But artificial turf doesn’t absorb water and quickly dries, meaning it’s less likely to harbor bacteria than a natural lawn, even if you have pets. Plus, you can rinse it with water to keep it cleaner than natural grass. Similarly, natural grass is vulnerable to diseases caused by fungi that feed on organic matter. These fungi may be why your lawn has dead spots. Although you can treat with fungicide, your results may vary, and turf helps you avoid the problem from the start.
