The first thing you should do is check your eligibility for this rebate. Program conditions for residential and commercial properties can be found at the Southern Nevada Water Authority website. Next, you’ll want to plan what your smart landscape project will look like. If you want the recreational use of your lawn or the look of a green manicured yard, artificial turf is a great alternative – and it’s in compliance with the rebate.
Purchase Green North Las Vegas is a part of the Water Smart Landscaper program. To have qualified for the program, we completed at least 6 hours of Southern Nevada Water Authority water-efficiency training, maintain good standing with the Nevada State Contractors Board, and are licensed and insured. We are happy to help plan and execute your grass conversion project and stay within the parameters of the rebate program – whether it’s a residential or commercial project.
After planning your project, it’s time to apply for the rebate. Visit the SNWA website to apply for the residential or business rebate. Once the application is completed, there will be a site visit with the SNWA for final approval. Removing your lawn without SNWA approval will make the landscape conversion ineligible for the rebate.
After you get approved, it’s go time! Removing sod, installing new artificial grass, hardscaping, and planting drought-resistant native vegetation are all ways your project could transform your outdoor space.
Once your project is completed, submit the final documentation to SNWA. These documents may include invoices and photographs that verify to SNWA that your project was completed to the previously approved parameters. Once everything is verified, you’ll receive your rebate, and your project cost should be significantly offset!
